Wet & Forget: More Than Just a DIY Home Cleaning Product
Wet & Forget has helped countless homeowners rid themselves of their worst moss, mold, mildew, and algae infestations. While this is the perfect home cleaning product for homeowners, its application uses reach far beyond that.
Wet & Forget is useful for boating, RVing, summer homes & cabins, pools, hospitality (restaurants & hotels), marinas, and even cemeteries. Curious? Let us explain.
Surfaces Perfect For Wet & Forget!
As you know, Wet & Forget removes mold, mildew, and algae. If you are a boat owner, you are probably undergoing an infestation of one, if not all, of the three growths.
You’re in luck because Wet & Forget is safe to use on boats. So whether you have a yacht or a rowboat, get some Wet & Forget; you’re going to need it.
- Camping
Nothing is better than some fresh air in the great outdoors, except when your RV contains mold and mildew. Wet & Forget works great on your mobile getaway.
If your idea of a getaway is a summer home or cabin, you’re still in luck. Wet & Forget is gentle enough so that surfaces go undamaged, yet powerful enough to save you the time & effort of scrubbing.
It is even gentle enough for log cabins!
We’ve mentioned before that Wet & Forget is safe to use around your pool. This holds true for community pools and water parks.
Wet & Forget is a quick, effective, and easy way to remove any mold, mildew, or algae problems that might be deterring possible swimmers.
- Restaurants & Hotels
If you own a restaurant or manage a hotel, you know that curb appeal has an effect on business. People do “judge a book by its cover” and may stray from a hotel or restaurant that doesn’t look clean on the outside.
Unfortunately, that could include some unsightly mold or mildew. To get rid of moss, mold, and mildew without harming any outdoor paint and decor, use Wet & Forget.
No scrubbing or rinsing means you can apply Wet & Forget quickly and effectively without disturbing your customers.
- Cemeteries
This may not be the most common use for Wet & Forget, but the results we have seen are tremendous.
We received a wonderful letter from a man named Ray in Missouri. He was the board president of the cemetery and chose to do something nice for the stone.
They hadn’t received a cleaning for many years. He tried almost every solution to remove mold and mildew from the stones. Then he found Wet & Forget.
How To Clean Surfaces With Wet & Forget
Apply Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate to surfaces with a garden sprayer. Dilute 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor to 5 parts water.
For large areas and high elevations, we recommend applying Wet & Forget Hose End. Make sure the surface is dry before application. For best results, apply Wet & Forget Outdoor on a cool, dry day with no chance of rain for four to five hours after application. The morning or evening is best.
This will ensure that the surface stays wet for an extended period while Wet & Forget Outdoor works on breaking down the growth. Be sure to saturate the area being cleaned. The product needs to soak through the growth and reach beneath the surface.
After the stains have disappeared, use Wet & Forget Outdoor as a regular maintenance tool. Re-apply at the first sign of new algae growth to keep those ugly stains from coming back. No scrubbing necessary–just spray and forget it!
So whether you are a homeowner, boating enthusiast, restaurateur, hotel manager or board president of the cemetery, or have a home away from home any Wet & Forget home cleaning product will get rid of your mold, mildew and algae infestations.

I have an older coleman popup camper. Some years ago water got into it while closed for the off season and mold and mildew got into the canvas.I was able to get a lot of it out but some remained. I realize it needs the outdoor elements to work so if I leave it open will it work on the canvas and have any adverse affect on the water repellant quality of the material?
Wet And Forget
Hi William,
Thanks for contacting us with your question. Yes, you can use Wet & Forget on your popup camper. Since Wet & Forget works with the wind and rain, you would need to be able to leave the camper exposed to the elements after applying Wet & Forget. Since your camper is older, it would be a good idea to treat the camper with a water repellent product after using Wet & Forget. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.
Thank you!

I have a couple of small but really tough mold stains on the grout in my shower. Can I use Wet & Forget on these very small (several inches in total) stains? Why do you always state for exterior use? Is this a legal reason or has it been tested indoors and been found to be harmful?
Wet And Forget
Hi Marty,
Thanks for contacting us with your question. Wet & Forget is specifically formulated for outdoor use and requires exposure to the weather in order to work properly. We do not recommend using Wet & Forget indoors. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.
Thank you!

HI
We have an indoor waterwall that keeps getting mildew and some kind of water calcification. Can we use wet it and forget it?? Can we add a little to the water to keep the mildew down?
thanks
Vicki
Wet And Forget
Hi Vicki,
Thanks for writing in with your question. Wet & Forget is specifically formulated for outdoor use. We do not recommend using it on an indoor waterfall feature. Wet & Forget will only work on outdoor moss, mold and mildew, it will not be able to clean up calcium deposits or stains. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.
Thank you!

I have used wet and forget on roofs and it works well. what about on vertical surfaces? I want to spray it on the vinyl siding of my house; parts of which are under a soffit area. If rain does not hit this area, will it still work, or do I have to use pressure washer to finish the job? Thanks
Wet And Forget
Hi Mary,
Wet & Forget still works on vertical surfaces but if they’re covered from the rain then you’ll have to assist the application. A week after applying, periodically rinse the surfaces that won’t ever get hit by the rain using a hose on a jet setting. Doing this over time will act as the rain and remove the staining. You can also use a pressure washer instead to rinse the surfaces that are covered from the rain.

Are you aware of any products, or do-it yourself solutions, for reaching high on the house’s siding to apply Wet & Forget?
I have a 13 foot extending painting pole, and am considering running a 13 foot extension of the tube out of the pressure sprayer and attaching along the length of the pole, and having the nozzle at the very end (top) of the pole. But, wonder if you’ve already heard of a tool or DIY solution that you could share..

Hi Larry,
If using a ladder and a garden pump sprayer isn’t an option, we recommend using a trombone sprayer to reach higher areas on your home’s siding. A trombone sprayer is more powerful than a garden pump sprayer and can reach greater heights.
