Wet and Forget Featured in Issue of The Costco Connection
“April showers may bring May flowers, but as every homeowner knows, that water also brings far less welcome gifts, such as mold, moss and mildew.”
The above excerpt is from “Forgetaboutit,” an article featured in the March 2010 issue of The Costco Connection.
Wet & Forget has partnered with Costco.
Wet & Forget believes that every sale is the beginning, not the end, of its relationship with its valuable customers.
Why Wet & Forget?
When using Wet & Forget, skepticism soon gives way to surprise and satisfaction when it becomes apparent that it does what it claims to do: It safely removes moss, mold, mildew and algae from all outdoor surfaces while leaving you free to do other things while the rain and the wind work together with Wet & Forget to clean your surfaces.
Wet & Forget’s gentle formula is safe for any outdoor surface too! Ron Kitlas, a Costco customer, sums it up best by saying “It took several weeks to see any change. Then one day the greenish tint completely disappeared. My skepticism turned into one big ‘Wow! This stuff works!’ ”
Spring is here, and with it comes a rush of moss, mold and mildew. To try Wet & Forget for yourself, head over to your local Costco or check out our store locator.

I used wet and forget twice last year on my roof to eliminate lichen. So far no results. I’ll try again this spring but are there any specifics on how to best apply the product for lichen removal on a shingle roof fiberglass/tar product base).
Thanks for the help!
Wet And Forget
Russ,
Try this article we wrote on lichen application. The process is slightly different than normal.

I purchased Wet & Forget last spring and applied to my porch CEILING at least 3 times – spraying the ceiling to imitate “rain” several times after each applications – the results were very splotchy at best. I am at my wits end as how to proceed next and would appreciate any suggestions.
Can you help?
Thank you
Wet And Forget
Paula,
Wet & Forget is best used as an outdoor product and requires contact with water or the rain in order to work properly. For outdoor areas not exposed to the rain, we do recommend spraying the area down with water every 2 weeks with a garden hose or sprayer in order to activate the product and to keep it working. I might be able to help you troubleshoot the situation. Please provide some additional information:
1. Did you apply Wet & Forget with a hose end or pump up sprayer?
2. What type of growth do you have on the ceiling? (black or green colored moss and mold)
3. What type of material is the ceiling made out of?

Why do those Costco stores named above not carry Wet & Forget? Is it a regulatory concern and at those locations the product will never be sold, or it is just a matter of them receiving the goods?

I have a condition on the underside of the eaves of my home. It is basically black in color and splotchy. Will your product work if this area doesn’t get rainwater on it?
Wet And Forget
Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for contacting us with your question. Yes, you can use Wet & Forget on the eaves of your house to treat moss, mold, mildew and algae problems. Since you will be applying it to an area that is not directly exposed to rainfall, some additional assistance will be needed. In order to use Wet & Forget on your eaves, you would need to be able to spray down the area with water about every week to week-and-a-half, starting one week after application. This will simulate natural rainfall. You will need to continue doing this until the mold and mildew is gone. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you!
Also, here is a blog post we wrote on the subject.

I used wetandforget on my waterfall last summer and it still looks great. I turned off the water for a few months and lately have it back on again and the pond still looks amazing. Does it keep working for a long time? How long?
Wet And Forget
Hi Ed,
Thanks for writing in to share your story! We enjoy hearing from our customers about the great cleaning job Wet & Forget does on moldy, outdoor surfaces. On average, most people apply their second application of Wet & Forget 12 to 18 months later. However, you may find that the product lasts longer. The best time to re-apply is when you first start to see the mold and mildew re-appear. Since you have already applied Wet & Forget for the first time, the future applications will clean up new mold and mildew quickly for you. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Thanks!
Howard
I’ve used the Wet and Forget outdoor product on grave stones that were black. Two months later the marble stones were white and the garnet stones were very clean – amazing!
Howard
I meant granite not garnet.

Thanks for commenting! We’re happy to hear you had great results using Wet & Forget to clean up grave stones.
