But algae, moss, or lichen on the pool surround, algae or mold and mildew on the pool’s walls or poolside deck, and mildew on poolside furniture cushions can turn your pool from a great time into a slimy mess.

Concrete Pool Surrounds

Whether your pool is in-ground or above-ground, concrete is probably an important component. In-ground pools have concrete surrounding them, and many above-ground pools have concrete around them as well.

Moisture from the pool can make the concrete surround a good environment for green algae or mold and mildew growth, and black algae can grow on sunny areas of the concrete. Scaly lichen can also be a problem on concrete.

Wet & Forget Outdoor takes care of all of these growths on concrete with no scrubbing needed and keeps them away for a year or more in most cases. And Wet & Forget’s pH-neutral formula means that any overspray will not change the pH of your pool’s water.

Above-Ground Pools

Above-ground pools can fall victim to mold and mildew at the waterline; algae or mold and mildew on the outside walls; or black algae, green algae, or mold and mildew on the side rails. To clean the outside wall or side rails, simply:

1. Mix 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor with 5 parts water in a pump-up garden sprayer.
2. Make sure the affected area is dry, and spray the area with the diluted Wet & Forget Outdoor at a time that allows 4 to 5 hours of drying time before the chance of rain, or before you use the pool.
3. Let Wet & Forget do the work for you!

To remove mold and mildew at the waterline, lower the water level until the stain is exposed, and allow the stained area to dry thoroughly. Follow the steps above.

Once the Wet & Forget has had 4 to 5 hours to dry on the stained area, raise the water level back to normal.

In-Ground Pools

In addition to growths on the concrete surround, in-ground pools can also have problems with algae or mold and mildew at the water line, or algae on the diving board.

For growths at the water line, lower the water level until the stained area is out of the water. Allow the stained area to dry thoroughly, and spray the growths with a mixture of 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor and 5 parts water.

Allow 4 to 5 hours to dry, and raise the water level back to normal.

For diving boards, spray the affected area with the same dilution of Wet & Forget and water and allow 4 to 5 hours drying time. Algae can become very slippery, so use caution if your diving board has algae growth on its top surface.

Poolside Decks

Many above-ground pools have poolside decks attached to them. These decks can develop algae, moss, lichen, or mold and mildew growths, which can make them unattractive and slippery.

Whether your deck is made of wood, composite decking, or another material, Wet & Forget Outdoor will remove these growths safely and effectively, and keep them from coming back for a year or more in most cases.

And because Wet & Forget Outdoor is pH neutral, any overspray from treating your deck won’t change your pool’s pH.

Outdoor Furniture

Outdoor furniture is perfect for lounging by the pool, but those comfy cushions can fall victim to messy, smelly mold and mildew growth. Bleach can cause permanent stains on outdoor cushions, or even eat holes in the fabric.

Wet & Forget gets rid of mold and mildew on patio cushions safely and effectively, with no bleaching. Simply:

1. To use the Wet & Forget Concentrate, mix 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor with 5 parts water in a pump-up garden sprayer. To use Wet & Forget Ready-To-Use, attach the trigger sprayer to the bottle.
2. Wait until the cushions are completely dry, and spray the affected area with the diluted Wet & Forget Outdoor.
3. Allow at least 4 to 5 hours of drying time before the threat of rain.
4. Rinse the cushions with clear water before next use.
