Eliminate Ugly Moss the Easy Way with Wet & Forget Outdoor!
It’s the time of year when the leaves start to change, and your lawn starts to turn brown. All of these changes might make you notice that ugly moss on your roof, patio, or driveway because it will keep its stubborn grip and keep right on growing. So eliminate the ugly moss with Wet & Forget Outdoor.
You don’t have to interrupt your busy fall schedule to wipe out invasive, destructive moss. With Wet & Forget Outdoor, you just spray and forget about it, and moss is history!
Moss: Disgusting and Destructive
Moss is a simple plant that can grow on just about any outdoor surface. Where there is enough water and partial sunlight, is where moss can be found as well.
Its rootlike structures adhere to the surface it grows on, thus making moss difficult to get rid of. Plus, it also causes permanent damage to some surfaces, such as asphalt shingles and certain types of decking.
Moss can also damage your property because it likes to grow in cracks and crevices and force them to expand as it grows larger; this effect can make your concrete driveway crumble, help destroy bricks, crack open planks on your deck, and knock shingles out of place on your roof.
Moss is definitely more than an eyesore, and the longer it is left alone to continue growing, the worse the damage can become. The best way to deal with moss is to remove it at the first sign of growth. And, to take steps to prevent its return.
Why Bleach and Pressure Washing aren’t the Answer
If moss has invaded your property, then your neighbors might have recommended trying bleach or a pressure washer. But caustic chemicals like bleach can damage the surfaces you’re trying to protect. Whether it’s visibly or by speeding up wear and tear.
Furthermore, the harsh chemical runoff can kill your lawn or corrode your home’s downspouts.
A pressure washer is a hassle to use and makes a muddy mess. In addition, extreme water pressure can wear away surfaces or force water where it shouldn’t be. And, one wrong move can knock loose a piece of siding, a rain gutter, or a row of shingles.
Worse yet, neither of these methods does anything to keep moss from growing back, which means that the moss can start its “invasion” again almost from the moment you put away the bleach bottle or pressure washer. It’s just not worth it!
Wet & Forget Outdoor to the Rescue!
Wet & Forget Outdoor’s gentle, non-caustic formula works with the wind and rain over time to eliminate ugly moss. Plus, it’s safe to use on all of your outdoor surfaces.
Best of all, Wet & Forget Outdoor is just as easy on you as it is on your roof and deck! You don’t have to scrub and scrape like you do with bleach or wrestle with a power washer–just spray and leave.
It’s that simple! The moss will turn brown and curl up over time. You can either gently brush it away or just let the wind and rain wash it away.
Wet & Forget Outdoor keeps on working even after the moss is gone, keeping new moss from growing for a year or more in most cases. Problem solved!

I used Wet it and forget it on our concrete patio early in the summer. I was happy with the results! I am wondering if I should apply it again this fall. The leaves usually stain the patio and it usually has snow and some blown in debris throughout the winter. Is it best to apply now as a preventive, or in the spring ?
Wet And Forget
Hi Carol,
The staining from the leaves is called tannin, Wet & Forget does not prevent or remove this stain. At the next first sign of green or black growth on your concrete patio, apply a coat of Wet & Forget to clean up the surface and keep it clean all year long.
