Wet & Forget Outdoor Frequently Asked Questions
How long will Wet & Forget Outdoor take to work?
It depends on the type of growth. Light growth may take a few days to a couple of weeks to see results. Otherwise, it may take 2-3 months to see improvement. In the very worst-case scenario, where contamination is extreme, it may take 6-12 months to work.
When is the best time to apply Wet & Forget?
Apply Wet and Forget on a cool and dry day with minimal wind. Make sure there is no rain in the forecast for 4-5 hours. Typically, the evening or early morning is the best time to apply because evaporation is minimal. This way, the treated surface stays wet with Wet & Forget for a longer period. Apply Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate and Wet & Forget Ready-To-Use when temperatures are above 32 degrees. Apply Wet & Forget Extreme Reach™ Hose End when temperatures are above 55 degrees.
Can Wet & Forget be used to treat any outside surface?

Will Wet & Forget affect my pets?
Keep pets off the surface applied to until it is dry to ensure they don’t ingest any of the Wet & Forget. Wet & Forget will take 4-5 hours to dry completely. If they accidentally walk in the treated area while wet, rinse your pet’s paws with fresh water as a precaution. Wet & Forget is safe for pets if it rains after the dry time.
Will Wet & Forget harm plants?
Protect landscaping from overspray by thoroughly rinsing with water before and after application or covering them during application. Do not spray Wet & Forget directly onto plants.
I applied Wet & Forget to a concrete surface & it turned an orange-brown color. Is this normal?
Yes, this is a normal and temporary color change that occurs on some concrete surfaces right after application. The color will disappear over time and indicates a good reaction between the organic growth and Wet & Forget.
What is the shelf life of Wet & Forget?
Wet & Forget has an unlimited shelf life. It is bleach-free and non-acidic. Wet & Forget can be stored in the original bottle as a concentrate or as a dilution in your garden sprayer. Should I wash the surface before applying Wet & Forget?
Remove any excess debris, however it is not necessary to clean the surface before application. Make sure to apply Wet & Forget Outdoor to dry surfaces.
Can I apply Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate with a hose end sprayer or pressure washer?
We recommend applying Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate with a pump-up garden sprayer for best results. For large surfaces and high elevations, we recommend using Wet & Forget Xtreme Reach™ Hose End. NOTE: Most standard hose end sprayers do not have the correct dilution rate for Wet & Forget. If you use a pressure washer with Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate, only use pressure washers that can pull from a separate container with the pre-mixed solution of 5:1 otherwise, we do not recommend pressure washers as you will not get the proper dilution or results.
Can I store Wet & Forget in a place where the temperature drops below 32 degrees?
We do not recommend storing Wet & Forget areas that could freeze or have temperatures below 32 degrees.
Will Wet & Forget harm glass windows?
No, Wet & Forget will not etch the glass in windows. However, Wet & Forget may leave a residue on the glass. After the Wet & Forget has dried, you can wash the glass portion of the window with glass cleaner to remove any residue.
