6 Places Where Wet & Forget Outdoor Annihilates Algae Stains

Fall is coming soon, and along with it come gorgeous afternoons and cool evenings that are perfect for carving jack-o-lanterns and enjoying post-game parties. But if ugly green or black algae has taken over your deck, porch or brickwork, you might end up hiding indoors instead.

Don’t let disgusting, slimy algae spoil the outside of your home! Wet & Forget Outdoor annihilates algae with no scrubbing, bleaching or pressure washing needed.

Read on to see 6 places where Wet & Forget Outdoor wipes out algae and lets you get back to having fun!

1. Roof

If your roof is streaked with ugly black, gray or rust-colored stains, black algae is probably to blame.

Black algae has a protective capsule that protects it from the sun’s rays. This makes sunny rooftops an ideal spot for it to take root and spoil your roof’s appearance.

Wet & Forget Outdoor works with the wind and rain to penetrate black algae’s defenses, and leave your roof clean and algae-free. Wet & Forget Outdoor also removes green algae, which can grow on shaded areas of your roof, as well as lichen, mold and mildew, and damaging moss.

2. Bricks

Bricks are beautiful, durable materials for building exterior walls, chimneys, retaining walls, patios, flower beds, driveways, and many other outdoor structures. Unfortunately, they can also make good homes for black algae, which grows in sunny areas, and green algae, which grows in shady areas.

Black and green algae will turn stately-looking bricks into a messy eyesore. They can also make brick driveways or walkways dangerously slippery.

Wet & Forget Outdoor wipes out algae on all types of bricks with no scrubbing or pressure washing needed, and keeps your bricks algae-free for a year or more in most cases.

3. Driveways

Your driveway beautifies your home and serves your family as a passageway for cars, bicycles and feet. But if algae creeps in and takes over its surface, your driveway won’t be able to do either of its jobs.

Whether your driveway is made of concrete, brick, pavers, or asphalt, algae will leave it dangerously slippery and looking like a mess.

Wet & Forget Outdoor stops algae in its tracks, and helps keep your driveway looking gorgeous and serving your family without the need for scrubbing, bleaching or pressure washing.

4. Siding

Investing in siding is a wonderful way to protect your home and keep it looking beautiful without needing to re-paint every few years. All types of siding, however, can fall victim to black or green algae.

If left unchecked, algae can take over whole sections of siding, leaving your home looking it’s been attacked by a slime monster.

Bleaching your siding is an unpleasant, eye-stinging experience. Plus caustic chemicals such as bleach can corrode your home’s downspouts and kill your lawn.

Pressure washing is a pain. One wrong move can knock your downspouts loose or even tear off pieces of siding or trim.

Worse yet, neither bleach nor pressure washing prevents algae re-growth, which means you’ll be stuck in an endless cycle of cleaning and re-cleaning.

Break out of the cycle! Wet & Forget Outdoor puts a stop to siding slime with no scrubbing, bleaching or pressure washing needed.

Wet & Forget works with the wind and rain to remove all traces of algae, and keeps algae from coming back for a year or more in most cases.

5. Decks

Your deck is the perfect place to spend a cool fall afternoon with family and friends. If your deck contains disgusting black or green algae, though, it will be a slippery embarrassment instead of a relaxing escape.

Rescue your deck with Wet & Forget Outdoor. Wet & Forget removes black or green algae, moss, lichen, and mold and mildew from any type of deck.

Just spray and walk away to wipe out ugly deck stains. Our product keeps them away for a year or more in most cases.

Wet & Forget Outdoor helps you keep your deck ship-shape, while it lets you spend more time enjoying your deck, and less time cleaning it.

6. Porches & Patios

Whether it’s made of poured concrete, bricks, pavers, your porch or patio is a great place to relax. But looking at a porch that’s covered with ugly, slimy algae is the opposite of relaxing.

Take back your porch and re-claim your patio! Just spray on Wet & Forget Outdoor to say “goodbye” to algae, and “hello” to your favorite outdoor sanctuary. The algae won’t know what hit it!

How to Wipe out Algae with Wet & Forget Outdoor

Eliminating algae on all your outdoor surfaces couldn’t be easier. Follow these directions to apply Wet & Forget Outdoor products:

  1. For patios or sidewalks with algae, we recommend using the Wet & Forget Concentrate. Mix one part Wet & Forget Outdoor with 5 parts water in a pump-up style garden sprayer. For large surfaces or high elevations with algae, we recommend using Wet & Forget Hose End. Simply connect your garden hose to the Wet & Forget product, and attach the hose end tip of your liking (Flat fan tip is ideal for driveways, or horizontal surfaces. Jet setting tip is best for high elevations with algae such as roofing or siding).
  2. Spray the algae-stained surface with the Wet & Forget solution. Apply Wet & Forget Outdoor at a time that allows at least 4 to 5 hours of drying time before the threat of rain.
  3. Walk away, and let Wet & Forget Outdoor do the work for you!
  4. Re-treat once a year, or at the first sign of re-growth.
