Wet & Forget Outdoor
Wet & Forget Outdoor wipes out moss, green algae, black algae, lichen, and mold and mildew on all your outdoor surfaces, from your roof, to your deck, and even your outdoor furniture cushions with no scrubbing, bleaching or pressure washing needed. You’ll be amazed at how easy cleaning your outdoor surfaces is!
- How long does it take Wet & Forget to work?
This depends on the type and severity of the contamination. For example, you’re likely to see results in a matter of days on a light growth of green algae, while a heavier contamination will take longer. Black algae, which has a protective capsule, usually takes longer than other growths to fade away. A heavy growth of black algae may require as long as 2 to 3 months to see improvement and up to 6 to 12 months for complete results. Wet & Forget Outdoor’s gentle formula works with the wind and rain to remove growths over time with no elbow grease on your part, and keeps them away for a year or more in most cases, so a little patience is definitely worth it!
- Can I paint or stain over Wet & Forget Outdoor?
Yes. As soon as the algae, moss, lichen or mold and mildew you were treating is gone, you can paint or stain the area; the same goes for seal coating your driveway. You can also use Wet & Forget on areas that have been painted or stained, once they are completely dry. Treating your deck or house with Wet & Forget once a year will keep growths away and help you extend the life of your paint.
- Do I need to dilute Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate?
Yes, you should dilute Wet & Forget Outdoor at a rate of 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor to 5 parts water before application. This is the concentration at which Wet & Forget Outdoor is effective, and it means that a bottle of Wet & Forget Outdoor will go farther than you think!
- What’s Wet & Forget Outdoor’s shelf life?
Wet & Forget has an unlimited shelf life, so you never have to worry about wasting leftover Wet & Forget Outdoor. The shelf life for the diluted Wet & Forget Outdoor mentioned above is also unlimited. Wet & Forget Outdoor is also non-caustic, so it won’t harm your pump-up garden sprayer or its gaskets if you prefer to store leftover Wet & Forget in your sprayer for future use. Keep in mind, though, that Wet & Forget Outdoor can expand if it freezes, so you may want to store the container or sprayer in an area where it won’t freeze in order to avoid the risk of damaging the container.
