Wet & Forget Outdoor

Wet & Forget Outdoor wipes out moss, green algae, black algae, lichen, and mold and mildew on all your outdoor surfaces, from your roof, to your deck, and even your outdoor furniture cushions with no scrubbing, bleaching or pressure washing needed. You’ll be amazed at how easy cleaning your outdoor surfaces is!

  • How long does it take Wet & Forget to work?

This depends on the type and severity of the contamination. For example, you’re likely to see results in a matter of days on a light growth of green algae, while a heavier contamination will take longer. Black algae, which has a protective capsule, usually takes longer than other growths to fade away. A heavy growth of black algae may require as long as 2 to 3 months to see improvement and up to 6 to 12 months for complete results. Wet & Forget Outdoor’s gentle formula works with the wind and rain to remove growths over time with no elbow grease on your part, and keeps them away for a year or more in most cases, so a little patience is definitely worth it!

  • Can I paint or stain over Wet & Forget Outdoor?

Yes. As soon as the algae, moss, lichen or mold and mildew you were treating is gone, you can paint or stain the area; the same goes for seal coating your driveway. You can also use Wet & Forget on areas that have been painted or stained, once they are completely dry. Treating your deck or house with Wet & Forget once a year will keep growths away and help you extend the life of your paint.

  • Do I need to dilute Wet & Forget Outdoor Concentrate?

Yes, you should dilute Wet & Forget Outdoor at a rate of 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor to 5 parts water before application. This is the concentration at which Wet & Forget Outdoor is effective, and it means that a bottle of Wet & Forget Outdoor will go farther than you think!

  • What’s Wet & Forget Outdoor’s shelf life?

Wet & Forget has an unlimited shelf life, so you never have to worry about wasting leftover Wet & Forget Outdoor. The shelf life for the diluted Wet & Forget Outdoor mentioned above is also unlimited. Wet & Forget Outdoor is also non-caustic, so it won’t harm your pump-up garden sprayer or its gaskets if you prefer to store leftover Wet & Forget in your sprayer for future use. Keep in mind, though, that Wet & Forget Outdoor can expand if it freezes, so you may want to store the container or sprayer in an area where it won’t freeze in order to avoid the risk of damaging the container.

Can I apply a bleach solution on to my outdoor surfaces to remove the black MILDEW spots, then when dry apply Wet and forget to prevent future growth?

Hi Dana, we don’t ever recommend using bleach as it can damage surfaces. Wet & Forget will remove the mildew stains from your surface and because it will properly clean the surface, it will stay clean much longer. We usually see surfaces remaining clean for at least 12 months. In areas of the country like Illinois, we’ve seen surfaces stay clean for two years.

Hello, what is the temperature range to use Wet & Forget outside on the patio for algae growth between the pavers? Also, can I use a hose end sprayer or is a pump sprayer the only option?

    Thanks!

      Hi Stan,
When applying Wet & Forget, you want the temperature to be above 32 degrees, on the other end, you don’t want to apply on a very hot day where your application will evaporate too quickly. A pump sprayer or a trombone sprayer would be your main options for applying Wet & Forget.

i have a pontoon with white seat that have black mildew stains. Will Wet & Forget remove the stain and make my seats white again?

      Hi Tim,
Yes, Wet & Forget will remove the black mildew stains on your pontoon boat seats. Apply Wet & Forget and leave it, the next day rinse with water. Wet & Forget will work with the wind and the rain to gently clean the surface over time, or you can give it about a week and do some rinsing and scrubbing on your own to speed up the process.

I just used Wet And Forget Outdoor on my pool patio, back deck pavers, gutters and screen enclosure. Looking forward to seeing the results. I also have painted wooden chairs (purchased for inside, but now using in our covered lanai). Mold/mildew grows on the chairs. Is there a wet and forget product I can use on the chairs? Thank you.

      Hi Jennifer,
All great surfaces to clean up with Wet & Forget! Apply to the chairs just like any other surface and leave it. The next day, just once before someone sits on the chairs, simply rinse them down with water and that’s it. Wet & Forget will continue to work with the wind and the rain to clean up all the green and black stains on the surfaces around your home.

I want to use wet and forget to remove mild green algae and two adjacent areas with black algae on my 8 year old asphalt roof. I want to use it in a hose end sprayer so I don’t have to go up on a ladder. Will pouring undiluted wet and forget into a hose end sprayer work then saturating the affected area to keep it wet for 15-20 minutes work, or will it be too diluted?

      Hi Charles,
We do not recommend using a hose end spray with Wet & Forget because it will dilute our product too much. If using a garden pump sprayer and ladder is not an option, we recommend using a trombone sprayer to reach up further distances from the ground.

Your site mentions to leT the wind and rain clean Whatever youre cleaning outdoors. I live in California and we dont get rain especially in the summer and I WANT to clean our duffy boat. Will this still work even though we dont get any rain and not a lot of wind as well?

      Hi April,
Since you don’t see a lot of rain or wind in your area we would recommend applying our product then going back about a week later and rinsing the surface with a hose on a jet setting. We would also recommend repeating the rinsing process periodically to help remove the dead growth.
